When We Get It Right

A father's role is fraught with strain, So much to balance, so much to maintain. There's pressure to provide, to be strong and bold, To be the rock that keeps the family whole. But being a father may be what we saw, Than just being the breadwinner and the law. It's about being there, with love and care, For every laugh and every tear. It's hard to navigate, this role so dear, When the mother's love seems to hold more sway. But fathers must find their their own voice to steer, To be a partner, a guide, and a choice of say. It's a delicate dance, this fatherhood thing, Finding the balance between strength and sensitivity. But when we get it right, oh what a delight, To watch our children grow with love and pride. So here's to all the fathers out there, Doing their best, with love and care. May we always strive to be our best, For the families we love and protect.
