When We First Kissed
Lead me onwards, Arabian star,
The night is long and dark
sunrise calls from afar ,
let’s walk side by side:
in the heart of this park
there is a lake calm and wide,
here, the stars are near
than the stars in the skies,
and I can dry any tear
after kissing your dim eyes.
See our faces reflected there
as if the sun and the moon
could the same space share,
Make your lips be mine,
a first kiss is like a bloom
ready to welcome the sunshine,
Lead me through the night,
take me to your embrace:
on the lake, the only light
is the joy from your face.
