When Time Runs Out
Planets reinvent themselves when time runs out
Using glaciers from the north to sooth their brows
Galaxies gather in far corners of the universe
In the dark for playing cards
Spades are a favorite pass time
Far reaching on agendas time table of things to do
Stars watch the game from Mars but never view the outcome
In reality that is impossible
Light gets in the way
Gravity takes to all directions mystified by mass
No energy to lift the glass or glance into the future
Eyes of eons wonder off the charts
Unknown components cause particles to rise
Then gain momentum, some weight, on someone else's property
Eternity is determined to terminate
The party begins to shrink into oblivion
When time runs out will it return
We really should go home
Ice is melting in the north for what it is worth
And in the glass which is so fragile to begin with
There is precious little space in the refrigerator
The equator is no place to store provisions
Orbits keep things in their place and to themselves
As for time, well, that's another question for the ages
Planets are rotating, galaxies playing, universe displaced
Time is frozen out there somewhere
Maybe it is time to fade
