When Through the Cracked Door
when through the cracked door
a ray of light pushing through
called me to dance
to my feet did I prove
fluttering to an fro
it curled and stretched
as a slight breeze sang the blues
a sweet haven of truth
springtime flowers wafting
a scent of loving proof
and then without warning
a subtle adieu
a rain bursting memory
clouded my view
off to sleep once again
a dream only of you
