When Thinking of Poems

Everyone is writing poems about what poems and poetry means to them. Thought that I would take a crack at it. Here goes. When Thinking of Poems When thinking of poems what comes to mind? Words that will rhyme which I want to find For another poem I selected setting the stage To put down on paper and produce on this page. Why I don't know but there is a natural flow As back and forth and from line to line I go And then in-between cup of coffee to sip After that my pen will take another grip. Paragraph after paragraph is complete Soon my mind and end of poem both meet Might have laughed or sometimes cried Depending on which way I felt inside. Typing is not my prominent feature for sure It is an experience that I have to endure No matter what after each poem ended To me they always seemed so splendid.
