When the Bells Are All Broken

When The Bells Are All Broken When the bells are all broken no ringing can one hear Soft words are never spoken loneliness the great fear Dark shadows enter this mind blues dance a little jig This 'ole world seems so unkind lonely and so damn big A memory invades the desolation emotions give way to tears Such is indeed small consolation for deep pains and big fears More thoughts edge their way in time eats its daily plate Remember her,my one true friend my lost lover and soul-mate Robert J. Lindley, Sept. 1975 Note: From my private journal.
