WHEN NIGHT IS CALLING

WHEN NIGHT IS CALLING Before the day turned into night Warm bright yellow faced cool pale white The sun and moon prepared to fight To fill the sky, as was their right But with the earth slowly turning Pale skins were no longer burning For more warmth, now all were yearning The end of day was concerning But it was time now for the moon And for some it came none too soon Ending brightness of afternoon As moonlight plays a different tune Hear the sounds when stars are falling Listen well when night is calling

a truly captivating poem, Howard. I agree, sometime the end of the day can't come too soon. Your rhyme scheme was flowing; much to admire about this poem. Have a lovely day, Sara
