When Light's Out
light vanishes for some time
and all i could think of is lime
as well as the beauty in its design
one by one
each lemon is picked,
one by one
each is split,
one by one
each sweats...
droplets of sweat land
on the surface of each hand
as it gives it a unique tan
now, as it is lifted towards the mouth
cries are felt across the tongue's warmth
with a blink of the eye
all is dry
the mouth is overwhelmed
by the sour taste of what was devoured
by the sour touch that's left
by the lemon which didn't comment theft...
it takes a while to lose the sour taste
and throughout the time that awaits
is how i feel when...
the light's out...
and when lonesome pervades...
