When Life Is New

Oh, when I first awoke to existence's thrill, Awe-struck by all that surrounds me still, The world with its wonders, a sight to behold, Clouds, air, and sounds, stories untold. Marvelous to know, to touch, to feel, Stones, greens, and winds' swift appeal, Life is so new, a sparkling delight, A mirror reflecting all that's bright. Who am I for life to comprehend? In infancy's veil, the truth is penned, I may see, but not life's full scope, No hint of falsehood or darkness to elope.
