When I Was Your Dad

I can still taste the flavor of regrets Wish I was good before she had left I can still recall myself being a monster Wish I knew how to be a real father. She showed me life but I was blind She held my hands but I was numb Years were wasted because of me Hope I was kind when she had me. It’s so sad to know that we only have both But I never gave her a chance to see my whole world Locking her out was such a cruel thing How could a father do such a worst thing? She decided to fly and find a better home Hoping to see herself in a right place But here I am tasting these drops of tears Wish I wasn’t a bad dad when she had me
