When I Say I Love You
I am comforted
Although it is not enough
At least I don't put that in mind
Although this love is tough
And that I try to hide
At least I can trick my mind
Or maybe my heart
That when I say "I love you"
You're the one saying it to me
At first I'd say it's my impatience
But even the waiters would've lost patience
There's not a tip of love left for me in you
Otherwise we wouldn't be here
And I can see this ain't going anywhere
Yet I am at peace
Or at least that's what I'd like to think
'Cause I tell my mind
Or maybe my heart
That when I say "I love you"
You're the one saying it to me
And for the first time in my life
I doubt I'll look at this and find something to laugh
'Cause now I have had enough
YOU FAILED ME
I hate to say it but this drained me
And then I lost
'Cause I to trick my mind to forget you
Not for you or for me
But for US, I told my heart to release you
And this time when I said "I forgive you"
I felt you're the one saying "I'm sorry"
