When I Looked At You
It was when I looked at you,
That I got trapped.
In your eyes, I was wrapped.
Did you feel this entrapment too?
Your eyes held me like a bandage,
The adhesive sticking tight.
I pulled away with all my might,
I don’t know how, but I managed.
Your eyes big and blue,
With a gloss they were capped.
When I looked at them I had to adapt,
To the way they made me feel like I flew.
You definitely had the advantage,
Over me with your eyes so bright.
You had me filled with fright,
That you would leave me with some damage.
But when I looked away I felt brand new.
With a feeling of being rapt.
My heart flipped and flapped.
It was when I looked at you.
