When I Found My Love

I never dared to tell my love How deep my love could be, Yet kept loving her all my life In my heart secretly; I wonder if she felt this truth But I had not a clue, It stopped me not from wooing her And how I wished she knew; And then upon a finer day She left without a word, Her haven known but to the wind And to the tweeting bird; I searched for her a lifetime long Across the land and sea, Ironic that I did find her In a grave beside me. Felt time was ripe that I told her About my loving call, She heard me well but said no word Her silence said it all. ***********
