When I Die

I need not a long life, For I fear not where I'm going. Many believe they will see the light, Where rivers a-plenty are flowing. Others joke of going to Hell While some fear going there But when my life is quelled, I will not see the Devil's lair. Nirvana is what beings seek, Where all suffering and desire ends, Which seems to be rather meek. I see things through a different lens Many believe they'll go to paradise Likely because their lives here suck. For those I have some advice: Don't wait for a stroke of luck. Do not simply wait to die, For who knows when that will be? Do not think you need life to pass by Before your heart can be free! Enjoy the life you have here, For it's your first and last. Death? I do not fear it, For I know I'll be under the grass.
