When He First Heard His Wife
Sitting in silence, alone from the world,
No noise, not even a word,
In a day full of grey, sinking in work,
And then, in the distance, he heard,
A song, a laugh, a sound of love,
A butterfly in a room full of dust,
He rose from his trance into the world,
His simple small heart had been touched,
He heard everything there in one single sound,
Her voice was a beautiful cure,
To all of the dull his life had become,
Her voice was something more pure,
So he walked to her chant, walked out the door,
Changed the rest of his life,
He decided right then, on hearing her voice,
That she’d be his beautiful wife.
