It IS the hardest thing you'll ever know, Russell...I remember waking up from my bed at home at the very exact time my grandpa died from his bed at the hospital...we were connected by our love...thanks for reminding me of him this evening. Gwendolen

yes losing a treasured loved one is so devastating Russell but their presence lingers on in spirit luv.. amazing lines so well rhymed.. I luv them all for their own special value to the poem.. my Grandpop was a stately man.. 6ft. 8in. tall and so quiet and gentle. always brought me a dixie cup of ice cream in his hat.. he wore hats all the time.. I miss his cheery smile.. and his DiNoble cigars imported from Italy ..

i like how you pulled me in with your brief yet sentimental thoughts and feelings, russell... what you've done here is not just describe a person, but you creating a living being out of words... winning wishes with huggs! yes..:)
