When Generations Merge

The old generations stay in the same place They are content to put behind the rat race Old times were much better, now they are long gone They keep looking back, find no strength to move on… The new generation’s accept all the new change No limits or roadblocks as onward they range With technology their partner as they grow An energetic youth, fast forward they go… But what if seniors looked forward, come what may Embrace the future as they go on their way And what if the youngsters looked backwards to see Slower times when man was content to just be… When each looks at the other in a new light A balance can be found, and all will come right.
