I wrote a poem once, James, and the ending went. "little cricket crying in the night, come and sleep in my bed. And I'll give you a pillow for your little black head." my baby cricket got separated from its mother and that is why it was crying. Anyway, your poem reminded me of that. Funny how one thing will trigger another. Do you suppose these crickets want to sleep in your bed? Then instead of the crickets moaning it will be you! all kidding aside, I enjoyed your Senryu '

Excellent senryu/haiku, James. When I was young there used to be many crickets around and one could hear them through the night. I did not mind them because I was used to them since I was brought up in the countryside. Nowadays they have diminished, mostly because of insecticides. // paul

The terrible opposite of a peaceful night. You've shattered the cricket's soothing. I like to do this sort of thing myself. Love, daver

Dear Jim, There are so many times when our souls need to find their way through the tunnel and into the light. Love your senryu and the title too! Thanks for reading Disposable Wisdom. Yes, it is a long one, but that lady lived next door to me and it made me very sad that she died that way. Love, Carolyn
