When Again We Meet
Every hour of every day
As I sit quietly in my chair
She comes to have a little pet
Just to reassure I'm still care.
She first raises her tiny voice
Then she begins to circle ‘round
Exactly three times no less no more
Then to my lap where she is bound.
Holding her gently, safe in my arms
Words of love I do murmur sweet
She purrs her thanks, then jumps down
Until the next hour when again we meet.
