When
Cast aside, chewed up & spit out again
Lost and unsure, free falling into the unkown
As a wounded and angry
Character in a play, hiding behind
The masks worn while performing to the
Piper's tune as the world watches on
Oh, what a lovely price to pay
Peel back the layers of defense
Look past the haunted and hollow
Eyes presented by a battle weary soldier
See past the masks and hideous scars
To see that I can still be found
That you can still take my hand
While there is still time
That I wasn't completely lost
While you were not looking
When
