When

When I put pen to paper What I’m trying to achieve Is with the words I’m writing To make you to believe You feel the pain I’m feeling Or I have felt before Would give me satisfaction And thrill me to the core To have you feel my pain inside When my dearest love I lost Or to feel my great elation When I had loved the most To share my cries of sadness When my dear dog she died And how I miss her presence As she never left my side I want you to see my happiness Also my shouts of joy When I was young at Christmas Playing with my new toy I want to show you inside The person that I am Who loves the world around him Every woman child and man I want us all to join hands And swear a pledge today To end the troubles in the world So I can put my pen away
