What's In a Name
As the priest walked by she headed for the door
Or at least she would try as the people began to pour
Slowed to a tip toed pace she began looking around
And it was by God's Grace in what she had now found
For just off to her right among a crowd so tame
A tree came into sight with each decoration a name
There was Sarah and Joe, Paulina, Thomas and Claire
So many names among the glow she decided to pick a pair
She took the Sarah and Joe as Paulina, Thomas and Claire went too
Speak of love as a show well these people knew what to do
For as she looked back the cool breeze whipping through the door
Names that were once packed well she could see no more
It filled her heart to see so much love being shown
For that is also how it used to be before she had grown
Their pain and sadness she felt as she held back the tears
As all that bitterness began to melt from all those tough lean years
In giving she received what no one else could give
So long being deceived she finally started to live
For it is in helping others that a great gift was returned
As we are all sisters and brothers such a lesson to be learned
