What's In a Face
What's in a face?
Soft, sullen, sky blue eyes
or dark brown or hazel green.
High rising, rigid cheekbones,
slender curved noses,
blushing chubby cheeks
puffy, puckered lips.
What's in a face?
Soothing smiles, frustrated frowns,
pinched lip smirkings.
Hug-able, subtle chuckled laughter,
lip biting sneers, phishing contempt
on furrowed foreheads
wrinkled brows.
What's in a face?
Dispassionate discipline,
approved dreams, hope and love.
There it is -
everything
revealing
it's all in the face.
