What We Have Done To Our Planet

What We Have Done to Our Planet Future generations will not be glad From things we left them are quiet bad. The nuclear remains of our atom blasts For thousand years will last. When pool balls first invented with plastic Everyone thought it was fantastic. It saved elephants ivory But led to an awful irony. Plastic garbage we threw into the sea Will be there for eternity. We burned and cut the Brazilian rain forest Thar reduced of our oxygen supply And you might ask why? It was our stupid brain of course. UN says million plants and animals may come extinct And leave many more on the brink. Our gasoline is loaded with lead Fumes not good for the brain in our head, Was it the CO2 from our car engines That killed all the Carrier Pidgeons ? We burned fossil fuels Made us look like circus fools. It lead to global warming That left a dire warning. Water levels rose as glaciers melt. Caused flooding that many felt. Our weather now has changed. Brought on storms and hurricanes. We polluted our drinking water We left to our grandson and granddaughter. Yes, we lived for the day But, for my grandchildren I pray.
