What the God Delusion Means To Me

I read an atheistic book and it almost validated my life - My desires, feelings, ambitions and dreams; It was as if a person was actually speaking to me, As I entered into his world of god theory. The author painted for me the right picture, The scene I was born into of religion and stricture, Such that after I read it I could handle my life, And more comfortably cope with long-term strife. The God Delusion is by Richard Dawkins 2006.

Myself as a believer I do not feel deluded. I do however feel anger towards so called Christians who have perpetrated horrible crimes. They have also stolen peoples faith and belief in God.

Yes, there is no delusion in Christianity, but anything can be read delusively. That’s the prerogative of books and ‘the written’ because the freedom which reading is endowed with means you can take away anything from it, what you view it to mean or what you would like to. So fundamentalist Christians and e.g. Islamic extremists - or any others, should listen to other people, the many and to counsellors on their malicious faith in order to change their view and to put themselves on the human level that we all know
