What She Didn'T Say

'I love you' What she didn't say 'I'll miss you' What she didn't say 'I'll remember you' What she didn't say but I thought I felt it in her eyes I thought she meant the truth I thought the number she gave me was proof proof she'd come back to stay proof last night was real proof I didn't wake up to a note laying on the pillow proof out of sleepy eyes I didn't see her rush out of the room her clothes in hand proof I didn't see the make-up running down her face proof I didn't see the gears turning in her brain that she just made a mistake What she didn't say I'm sorry What she didn't say I can't stay What she didn't say I don't drink What she didn't say I already have a boyfriend What she didn't say What she didn't say was her name wasn't really Lisa Her name was Annie but the mirror cracks in half as I repeat the words I didn't say the words I didn't say How idiotic am I Lisa... how was I so stupid Chad... How will I explain this to Chad and Julianne she was supposed to be my best friend yet drunk and abandoned she left me, unguarded at a party for 100 Chad how could I betray his trust Chad how dare I Can I face you again Do I dare run over to your house scale the chain link fence climb through your window whisper that I love you as I pull you out of your clothes and say my tale to you while you whisk yourself in a dream while we dream in each other's arms just so I dont feel the guilty sting... What she didn't say What I didn't say 'I love you' Chad deserved it yet Jamie heard it What she didn't say What I didn't say 'I'll miss you' Chad was to hear it last night but Jamie found it slip through my lips after he stole a kiss Annie... Annie... She was so foolish, so stupid I am so foolish, so stupid
