What More Can We Do
What more can we do
We’ve done all we can except shoot back at you
What more can you say
Nothing you can say will take this pain away
You say freeze, we put our hands up
Ask for ID and then we get shot up
We’ve been protesting, told things will change
Another black man dead and things are the same
Some people couldn’t believe what we see
So we started recording and they still let the killers free
So what more can we do
What more can we say
When we ask for help
And get killed anyway
Pulled over and I don’t know why
They see I’m black so they make up lies
Search my car for drugs, cuz “that all we do”
But I am clean and they can’t except the truth
Put me in cuffs, throw me to the ground
I’m complying but asking questions too loud
So the cop puts his knee on my back
I tell him I can’t breathe but he doesn’t react
9 mins I’m struggling for my life
4 cops against 1, that ain’t right
Who would’ve known it would be like that
They took my life because I’m black
What more can we do
We’ve done all we can except shoot back at you
What more can you say
When more of us gettin killed every day
What can we do
When justice for us ain’t coming through
What more can you say
Actions speak louder than words any day
