Per reflections.

What makes a dreamer's dream fade? Is time the thief of the essence of dreams? Is the mind not tending it on time? Is it unfiltered thoughts flickering in? What makes a dreamer's dream fade? The magic in the moment vanishes? The muse of dreams is imposed upon? Dreams we dream evaporate with time? What makes a dreamer's dream fade? When all is said and done, who's the observer? Where goes a dream, sans the dreamer? Why, I do declare, dreams are like puzzles How they bob, as in game of apples Floating from our grasp What makes a dreamer's dream fade? *

unfulfilled dream makes a faded platform for the dream and hopes there dies silently!

I don't believe in fading dreams, only hearts that forget or deny their beliefs Iris...I admire the graceful, philosophic style and purpose of this poem. "The muse of dreams is imposd upon..." sometimes one muse prepares the heart for another, othertimes, the stifling of a muse is a tragedy of disbelief. Muses and Dreams are codependent Iris...J.A.B.

Justin, thanks for stopping by with warmth. Dreamer's dream is two-fold: Dreams we have of becoming... Dreams in our sleep, sometimes fragmented I don't recall having dreams of becoming... when I was younger; I was psychologically blind. Now, with foresight, I'm inching my way toward my dream. Peace and blessings.

I love this question . . . our world teaches us to be practical, get real . . . and slowly we lose our ability to dream, explore unknown worlds, seek out adventures, to see the invisible. Our imaginations become dull and our dreams fade . . . much love and light dear Iris. 7

David, it's two-fold. On the one hand, I'd wake up to pieces of a dream; sometimes there's beginning, middle, and ending as in a story, and colors are vivid. Then again, as with wavering faith, some dreams are not concrete; as in dreams deferred. Thank you, my Soup friend for leaving me warmth. Blessings to you.

sorry, I got interrupted and now I am back here. I liked this one. It's a theme I write about from time to time. I can tell you what makes a dream fade. It's reality. Growing old and knowing you can not accomplish certain dreams due to the situations that arise from aging. But the dreams that are our memories. Only alzheimers i suppose can take THOSE away.

Andrea, dear, How very true. I've had to ask myself what, if any, were my dreams. I can't recall ever really feeling free to dream. Why is a whole other topic I shan't go into. Now, I think to myself, this dream I have of... one day; I'm inching my way to the finish. Have you a lovely day.

Andrea, I desire another tiger calico or tabby; but the husband and other family members reminds me I used to be asthmatic, and "Can't you see you're allergic to cats?" I'll get another pussycat.
