What Lovely Years

Prologue When you take this first step, think - what lies ahead. Both smiles and laughter tender, loving ever-after. The road will be rough, but you will not bend for the prize at the end will be more than enough. The count has just started, but it'll fly in a wink, when you finally touch and feel all shades of pink. Interlude When you're discouraged, just think of your goal. Without his sweet smile, you'll never feel whole. He is a lonely, sad and broken guy. Whatever he is, never say goodbye! Three years will go by in just a quick blink. When you kiss his lips, "t'was worth it" you'd think. Epilogue When you want to look back, just think of your past. When you cried, he laughed. When you spoke, he snapped. All the sacrifices you made and all the patience you gave, he turned a blind eye to except when you misbehaved. Three years have gone by, much longer than you’d think. The journey you went through was everything, but pink.

This was really tearing me up, "When you cried, he laughed. When you spoke, he snapped," but when you got to "when you misbehaved," I was completely done in. If this is not about an abusive relationship, I am going to turn in my reader's heart, and get a new one. This is a soul-jerker, Celine. Well done indeed!
