What Kept Me Going

Groping in the cavern, I was badly in need of a lantern, Bereft of vision, I was without a mission, A bat had battered on my hat, And on my face had swat, On many a hurdle did I stumble, But what kept me going, Were the fireflies of love Which your heart had been ceaselessly spouting.
