What Is This Pain
As a lad in my early child life,
I never had the misfortune of this pain.
My lower right side felt like ice in a blender,
As I succumbed to the pain that was plaguing my body that day,
I went to my mom with tears in my eyes.
She looked at my face and you could see her heartbreak.
As a tear escaped her eye unexpectedly she said,
“My dearest child, what is the matter?”
I answered though the pain for I sought he answer eagerly.
“Mom? What is this pain that has befallen my body?
I have never felt such an immense pain in my young life.”
The worry and sorrow didn’t leave her face as she answered,
As I looked up at her face I could see that she was crying,
Tears were flowing from her eyes like the waters of Niagara Falls.
She wiped her face and answer saying this,
“I don’t know what is exactly wrong, but I can assure you.
I will do everything in my power to find out what this pain you are feeling is.”
