What Is the Point

What is the point of a gnat Can anyone answer me that They get in your bedroom at night and frizzle themselves on the light What is the point of a slug A slimey old no-legged bug They eat all your lettuce at night and then hide in dark at first light What is the point of a snail apart from leaving a trail Nothing, that I can tell They demolish your lettuce as well What is the point of a weed They cover your garden with seed Your borders they do not enhance and they smother your delicate plants I'll tell you the point of these pests These annoying and unwelcome guests They are all part of nature's great plan and the only REAL pest is man Slugs can't endanger the Earth or destroy the land of their birth Snails cannot pollute the seas or genetically make new disease A gnat cannot pollute the soil or the oceans, by drilling for oil A weed is a flower out of place It can't nuke the whole human race One of the troubles with man is he does things just 'coz he can Whole species destroyed without thought It's endless, the damage he's wrought The environment's right out of wack I don't think it will ever come back So ... what is the point of man Answer me THAT ... if you can
