What I Was

I was born and I shall die Just like all the rest And I reckon just like all of you I had my share of test Know that every fork in life's road Has it's twist and bends Is it not very sad yet true We make and lose our friends There is a meaning to this poem I'm writing mainly for me Everything that ever was As it was meant to be The reason that I was so lost It truly seems to me Was so I could write out my way home For everyone to see Perhaps someone will read my words And relate to how I feel I do pray that through my words They can feed off my will It's true that I have my bad days As everybody does But know in your hearts it's also true Never revert back to what I was

Amen to this poem, in all our hearts we pray we never revert back to who we were, thanks for this beautiful message, it reminds me of the assurance of who I am in christ and where i would be with out him in my life, it was not nice in that dark place but God wipes all our slates' clean and gives us all a second chance, , oh how much I love the light, I thank the Lord for making us who we are today, God bless you from diane
