What I Gave
When my time comes and I go to my grave
One legacy I choose to leave behind
Let it be said that humor’s what I gave
For laughter’s the best way to soothe a mind
When someone is down, offer compassion
But you can take kindness just one step more
Bring smiles bountiful, no need to ration
May they grace faces of all you care for
I have no wealth or talent of great note
But it lifts spirits when people can laugh
Far too many folks on sadness will dote
Let “giggler” be scribed on my epitaph
