What He Said
You see, I'm a resident around here, been here for many a year
This is a place that I hold so dear and to my heart it is very near
Yes I know this place so well, right up to the oceans roughest swell
I love that fresh ocean smell oh the many stories that I could tell
But the sadness of that one day, the rip tides ripping out to sea
And those kids who just wanted to play, feeling happy and free
I told them to stay away that the tides that day were dangerous
They said hey pop, knock off the fuss! Get upon your own way
And as I tried to plead my case using every argument that I knew
Right there before my face into the water went not one but the two
Yet I kept on calling out as further and further they continued in
Unfamiliar these boys had reason to doubt just like you with sin
There I stood so helpless as they got pulled out into that big sea
Such a tragic mess if those boys would have just listened to me
If only they had listened to me and heard the words that I said
I told them the dangers of that sea! Still those two boys are dead
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me
