What Faith Is
Faith is the substance, the sustaining force that gives us the patience to wait to
receive what we need or what we believe has been promised to us.
Faith is not blind; it sees its way clear; even though, humanly, the end result or
manifestation has not been seen by the naked, physical eye.
Faith is the motivator, a cousin to Hope.
Faith gives us the incentive to drive, to keep pressing forward, onward and
upward; gives us the staying power to hold out and hold on; to never give up on
life and the promises pertaining to life no matter what the present circumstances
may be.
Faith always helps us to be strong enough to wait to the appointed time when we
can visualize, sight-wise what has been promised: a kind-of-waiting for the
invisible to become visible where we can reach out and touch it; hold it; and feel it
with our physical hand.
Faith is jumping out of the boat with the life raft or jacket intact in hopes of
reaching the shore even though you know you can not swim.
Faith is knowing that you are on shore without actually, physically being there;
Faith is believing that the power of perseverance will ultimately cause you to be
lying on shore, safe and secure from the dangerous rifts of a watery tide.
Faith is not seeing but knowing it shall come to pass and we shall receive every
necessity of life in order to live the abundant life.
