What Dreams May Come
Heed my sad tale
Where echoes strain;
Seek a lost heart,
What love avails;
Stumble through pain,
Dare motive start.
Time matters not,
Space feels surreal
A journey far,
Sad grief weaves plot;
Here wind and gale,
Ply beyond par.
Deep beyond earth,
Where terror hurls;
Despair lies deep,
Death buries birth;
A nightmare world
Where guilt robs sleep.
Place beyond place,
Time beyond time,
Lost in the depths;
Space within space,
Chime within chime,
Lost beyond breath!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pain and despair,
Guilt and regret;
Loss beyond urge,
Terror that bares;
Cold burdens fret,
Burn, surge and purge.
Dark blackness mars,
Lost beyond gleam;
Dark despair wrought,
Nightmares stretch far;
Terror floods dream
Where light is naught.
A realm of pain
Where no light streams;
Despair mocks sense,
Grip of vain stain;
Lost beyond dreams,
No sense of tense.
Confusion sums
Echoes of pain
No one can reach;
Replays outcome,
Blame beyond gain
In senseless pitch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
See what makes sense,
What fashions feel;
Sense what you see
Beyond mere tense;
What spurs sure will
To know and be.
Glimpse a known path,
What light that falls;
Path beyond glimpse,
Knowing brings stuff;
What you recall,
In precious themes.
Each to a dawn
In sunlit hours;
A hint that sums
A solemn morn;
Both yours and ours:
What dreams may come.
