What Child Is This

What do I say to you what do I say could I go back? If I can face you face the truth could I then save— What question is this it leaves me cold leaves me with guilt I'm here, a ghost barely alive— tell me I'm good Tell me that once the day will come life really starts One day you will be me, then we grow up we will survive *** October 12, 2017 For contest: What Child Is This Sponsor: Craig Cornish

DArren, you did this topic very well. I did not read the fine print and now I have to think of how to redo what I came up with on this topic. OH MY. I have too much to do and probably can't do it in time!! Anyway, I really like yours.

An illuminating, thought-provoking poem, Darren. Your poems reach deep into the psyche of motive-hidden behavior. Ty for the poetic couch session, Dr. White. Lol! Truth be told, this is a mighty fine poem. I give it a magnitude factor of 10 star luminosity rating. It's a really cerebral bright write, my friend. Love and smiles forever.

Courages write, Darren, I feel your talking about a parent. I felt this way a lot with both my parents, but in their mind nothing was done just all of our imagination . Hugs Eve ~`*

Eve, thank you. For this contest we need to write or speak to ourselves as child, so that is what this is about :)

It seems to me that the little one knows you love him. He needs reassurance every once in a while just to be sure as most children do. This is so tender and caring a poem it is the arms with which you hold the little one. Well, well, done.
