What Are Friends
A friend doesn’t ask what can I do
They are already there doing it
A friend doesn’t ask how are you
They have listened to your voice and guessed
They are there by your side
A friend doesn’t say you need a break
They have organised one to your favourite spa hotel
Helping you to pack your belongings being thoroughly spoilt
Sorting out the dog with a house dog sitter,
A friend, is what I hope I am to others
As my friends are to me.
Special people who have an antennae
Focused on your needs. Soon my days
of needing friends will be over, only
in the helping format.
I will always need friends,
hoping they will always need me to
