Formed in a desert A true friend whom you can stand Waves may put me down Still, I raise you in near place To show you the vast ocean. I have pallid skin Yet, aids to build your pillars We’ll be elated Surrounded by a cold breeze My soft dust-grains feel your hands. Storm waves rebuild me I remain in windswept place Of natures’ embrace I feel God in you- His grace, ‘Tis inspires and gives me strength. What Am I to you If I am only like hills? Usually, I used rose etc. before but this time, I thought of “dune”- from humility, in good times & bad times, always there to reach out & try to lift up someone when he/she’s feeling down. It’s one of the components of cement that gives strength. :))). For me, dune is a symbol of humility, giving strength & a loyal friend: ))). Again, Thank you sooo much! Hi my dearest sis! Well, you’re almost there;))). By the way, THANKS A LOT for appreciating my poem & the win. I love your contest so much. In fact, the first poem I wrote was Who Am I, but when I was about to enter it, I’ve noticed that I’ve overlooked the title & your rules ;)))). So, I hurriedly changed it & this was the outcome- like a riddle:). I chose a thing to symbolize myself.
