Were U the One

Were U the One! Were U the one in my second grade class? Were U the one, prettiest little girl on the church ground? Were U the one that I worked alongside? Were U the one behind me in the checkout line? Were U the one that I made a fool of myself over? I would ask myself that question from time to time, but let my quest for the answer go, it seemed there was no answer for something so simple, I have become too content with not knowing and once I called myself a fighter, but I am losing the battle, although deep in my heart it still seems to matter, there is no dream that will suffice, there is no fantasy that will do, there is only reality and that reality is U!
