We'Re On Our Way

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Within my minds eye I travel unto a moment upon these distant shores ~ Trying to get a glimpse of truth within this bittersweet world, this place To extract the beauty from its face; there is beauty yet, not for all nor even, most.... Many let their hearts believe, let their eyes somehow see and, who am I ??? Who do you want to be? So easy to be lost, so easy to be whatever, if ever at all ~ Walking above this rugged terrain aside the crashing waves until, I come to a view Gazing about amid wonder and so much to be thankful for in, the splendors of it all Magnificent creation; still the silence as I breathe this beauty and bow my head.... Only to look down now and find that my heart is troubled deeply inside My eyes beginning to water as I peer upon the rocks and, the tumultuous tides!? Crashing over and over again atop this precious, priceless light ~ Trapped and alone, abandoned and afraid, drenched in pain; tears falling down Starring at the ground, humble and beaten this beautiful life, caught in a storm.... Bitter and cold; flesh and bones, hollow eyes, fragile, and what are dreams??? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ....“We're On Our Way” ~ {Written The Winter of 06/07} ~ “Tis All About, `Love.`” *
I travelled those distant shores with you and saw all you describe with such vivid metaphors. You bring beauty in your writings John and I always feel you have given me something precious to think about. Luv, Elizabeth
I can see where the lyrical comment that you left on my poem came from now. Your poetry is beautiful.
