Welcome Rest

When tiredness becomes overwhelming, After the day has passed into evening. When all your energy has been spent, All you want to do is sleep content. Then take yourself off to your bed, There you can rest your sleepy head. Come, close your eyes on the days light, Abandon yourself to a sweet dream night. Then come the dawn of a brand new day, Refreshed and ready, go on your way. © Dave Timperley 02 September 2016

Rising at 6.00 am or earlier, I am always ready for a good night's rest. Being of a "Senior" age, a short nap in the middle of the day, always sits well with me too. Refreshed I can then work in my garden until nightfall! Helps to keep me young! Nice take on a topic close to my heart! Always pleased to see and read rhyming poetry - my favourite and chosen genre. Must post more of my own soon. Fall is almost upon us, and then I have more writing time. Regards. Denis aka Rhymer.

Sounds like sound advice in your usual wonderful poetic style, Dave. I suppose you've noticed, I have become a fan:) I like reading good poetry and when I find some I keep going back.

Ah! So I have a stalker haha. Thanks for your very encouraging comments Daniel. I am trying to write on per day. It gives me a target and keeps the grey stuff from atrophying. God Bless. D.
