Welcome Home
I woke up today greeted by rain
Yet my heart is filled with light
My friend
My sweet friend
She has returned
She heard my call
Read my words
Felt my sadness
Others added their voices
Comforted me
Expressed love for her
There is grace within this place
Amongst The thorns
At times it can drain
Be a source of pain
Yet it lifts us once again
We humans have our faults
Limitation
He hurt one another
Sisters friends and brothers
Yet we are more
Much more
Complicated
Simple
Confused
Bruised
Abused
Renewed
We are better together
Within the storms we weather
Today is a day of celebration
Filled with elation
After contemplation
Becca has returned
So on my face is a smile
I let out a sigh
I never wanted to say goodbye
