Weeping Willow

The weeping willow wept and withered. Lovers swore their love, carving hearts. Initials replaced her perfect bark. Pains of loves or lost loves embarked. Each time young lovers sat beneath her bows, She watched kissing and tender touches. I agree, they do feel pain and even bleed sap...wish those who carve could feel that pain. A beautiful poem Dane Ann! Congratulations on your win. : )

'wept and withered" It's like I'm watching the leaves slide down the trunk as it slowly dies down to the ground.. such beautiful imagery. Love, Juli-Michelle
