Weeping Willow

Mother loved her willow tree, she planted years ago. Through the years of tender care, mother watched it grow. Like mother, the tree now strong and firm, the roots way down deep. I could always find mother under her willow tree, when life's troubles became too steep. Mother laid to rest under her willow tree, one cold December day. Now as a man, I bend my knee under her willow tree, where mother used to pray. I ask the father for wisdom, to guide me in my day. I can still feel the power under her willow tree, where hell stood in her way. One day, I'll teach my children about the power under the willow tree, that mother planted years ago.
