We Must Imbibe
We are such creatures, that in the mornings of our fixated lives,
We seek out the substance of smells, the realization of tastes,
Because we must imbibe, must partake in the salty offerings of Hestia,
For it is the need of distant atoms, invisible to our eyes as it should be,
That we all move forward using trusty appendages which begin to creak,
When latter days manifest the trying times of navigation with old legs.
I used to walk the old avenues under shady trees as a dreamful boy,
Always wondering if life gets better later on, and it did, I must say,
But only after offering up my life and teeth to a service of others,
Did life and its tendencies begin to connect in wonderfully predestined ways.
