We Can Make a Difference
What we have in this world makes me think, oh what a wonderful life
We have birds singing their songs
We have places to go and people to see
But that's not true for all of us
For some of us have nothing to smile about
No birds singing
No places to go or, sadly, no people to see
But we can learn to keep our heads up
When people hang us on the noose of regret and pessimism
We can look with our blood-shot eyes and say
"I kept positive" and the noose is broken
We should march on, and encourage others to do the same as we have done
We can say with eyes and mouths open wide, "We can make a difference!"
