We Built This Bridge
We built this bridge
Over steady, unwavering rocks
But I still needed your hand to get over them
And when we walked through that open field,
Houses on the horizon,
Your eyes weren’t glazed and hazy
So I used them to take in everything
For once, I walked a street where nothing else mattered
And I’ve been thinking about this a lot
But I still don’t know what to tell you
