We Are Not Unique
We are not unique
in the universe.
And pretending so
seems somewhat perverse.
We brag we're made in
the image of God.
But in many ways;
we are weak and flawed.
Alien visits
get deftly denied.
But governments have
repeatedly lied.
We're not the fools that
politicians think.
Their lies, received with
a nod and a wink.
Aliens were here;
leaving signs they'd been.
Yet, we deny it;
despite all we've seen.
